As first-year students embark on their college experience, they will all take part in Loyola's living learning program, Messina. The common text for Messina is Just Mercy, by Bryan Stevenson. The book, a compelling first-hand account of a lawyer who defends the poor and wrongly condemned, speaks to the inequality in the justice system.
The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's cross country roster has been finalized and the Engineers have three seniors, six juniors, eleven sophomores and eight freshmen. RPI has run in two meets and compete in their third, the Purple Valley Classic, this weekend.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2017 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Students are among 26 graduates of The University of Scranton's Honors Program, which is among the Jesuit university's programs of excellence. Students in the Honors Program pursue a rigorous education that stresses independent work through close engagement with professors and other honors students, including the preparation, presentation and defense of a research or creative project during their senior year.
More than 40 members of the Albright College Class of 2016 were inducted into the Society of Jacob Albright Scholars at a ceremony on Saturday, May 21. Lifetime membership in the Society is awarded to graduates who have completed at least half their course work at Albright and who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 or higher.
Seventeen members of The University of Scranton's class of 2016 volunteered after graduation for long-term service projects with nonprofit organizations and underserved populations throughout the country and internationally. Their service begins this summer and includes programs run by the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.
